Should I check with a bank before seeing homes?

Yes. Get pre-approved first so you know your budget and only look at homes in your price range. First-time buyers may qualify for down payment or closing cost help. Talk to a lender before you start looking.

Should I buy or continue renting?

It depends on how long you plan to stay. Less than two years? Renting usually makes more sense. But if you're settling in, your mortgage payment might match what you'd pay in rent, and you're building equity.

How easy is it to find a rent-to-own property?

Rent-to-own properties exist but they're not common. They come with their own terms and conditions you need to understand before signing anything. If you're interested, talk to one of our agents about what to look for.

Do I really need a realtor when purchasing a home?

Yes. A good realtor negotiates price, coordinates inspections, and handles closing paperwork. Not all agents have the same experience, so ask about their background and how they'll help you specifically.

Who pays the realtor fees when a purchase is being made?

Usually the seller. But confirm this before you make an offer. Terms vary by deal.

Yes. We walk first-time buyers through the whole process, pre-approval to closing. Florida also has first-time buyer programs we can point you toward.
